We take training providers outside the United Kingdom through approval with a UK awarding organisation, and keep them approved. Delivered remotely, at a fixed price, by an active internal quality assurance practitioner who also works for awarding organisations.
UK qualifications come with UK-shaped requirements
A UK-regulated qualification carries the same quality assurance expectations wherever in the world it is delivered. Awarding organisations are required to apply the same principles to an overseas centre as to one in England. In practice that means an internal quality assurance strategy and sampling plan, evidenced occupational competence for your assessors and internal quality assurers, standardisation records, a full policy suite, and an external quality assurance visit that the right people attend.
Most providers we speak to have the subject expertise and the learners. What they do not have is a translation of all that into the evidence an awarding organisation expects to see. That is the work.

We always begin with the review. Until the route is established, nobody can say honestly what approval will involve or what it should cost, and we would rather tell you early that a route is closed than bill you to find out slowly.
Common questions
Can we deliver UK-regulated qualifications outside the United Kingdom?
In many cases yes. Approved international centres can deliver Ofqual-regulated qualifications where local regulation allows, and are expected to meet the same quality assurance requirements as a centre in England. Which awarding organisation you approach, and by which route, is the decision that governs everything else.
Do we need premises in the UK?
It depends on the awarding organisation and the route. Some require a centre to be located in the UK, with permanent premises suitable for an external quality assurance visit. Others operate a separate overseas centre route with different requirements. Establishing which applies to you is the first piece of work.
What about a UKPRN and Unique Learner Numbers?
Some awarding organisations require a UK Provider Reference Number and recognition by the Learner Registration Service. Unique Learner Numbers are an England learner-records concept and may not be available for learners outside the UK, which affects which route is open to you. It is one of the first things we check.
How long does it take?
Longer than a UK application. Awarding organisation international teams typically move more slowly, and there is usually documentation to build rather than adapt. Expect several months rather than several weeks.
Is everything delivered remotely?
Yes. The review, the documentation and the application are delivered remotely, in English, working with your team. Where an awarding organisation genuinely requires an in-person presence, that is arranged and priced separately.
What does it cost?
The review is a fixed price and is quoted before any work starts. Approval is quoted once the route is known, because the route determines the work. Awarding organisation fees are payable by you directly and are never included in ours.
